Essential Oils for Beginners - Every Home Should Have This Kit of 9 Essential Oils
by Kathryn Caywood, LLC
Essential oils in every home may be a dream today, but as more people discover the power and the joy of therapeutic grade essential oils, more and more families are using them on a regular basis.
Here is the list of 9 essential oils for every home. Even when I'm traveling away from home, these are nine essential oils that I always pack to go with me.
1. LAVENDER
This one's basic and can be used for so many different things that entire books have been written about it.
2. LEMON
Tastes great when a drop or two is added to water, but this is just the "tip of the iceberg."
3. PEPPERMINT
This oil can be cooling, whether applied to the soles of the feet or adding a drop to a glass of water. Peppermint oil is so versatile that I'm surprised a book has not yet been written about its many uses. Perhaps I'll make this an eBook project for this year!
4. FRANKINCENSE
I remember the time when all I knew about frankincense was that it was one of the gifts brought by the Wise Men to the Christ child. Now it has become one of the oils that I use for almost anything.
5. PANAWAY This used to be called "Pane Away", so now you know why I think that every house should have this blend of essential oils.
6. PEACE & CALMING
Everyone - children, teens, parents, people in the work force, retired people, and the elderly - has times when stress or frustration takes its toll. These are times when a little of the Peace & Calming blend is a good thing to have.
7. PURIFICATION
This essential oil blend can be diffused to purify the air from disagreeable odors. I also use it for insect bites, cuts, scrapes, and more.
8. THIEVES
The formula for this essential oil blend has been in use since thieves during the black Plague used it to protect themselves from the dead and dying. It's my first line of defense during cold and flu season.
9. VALOR
This blend is often referred to as a "chiropractor in a bottle" because of what it does in regard to balance and alignment. It's one of my favorite essential oils to share with new people.
