ESSENTIAL OILS in Pet Care Why have essential oils in pet care products? Because we want our pets to have some of the same essential oil advantages that we have! A number of essential oils can be used with pets. For guidelines and safety, please refer to chapter 19 of the Essential Oils Desk Reference, 4th edition. It has lots of information on dogs and horses. One of the guidelines in using essential oils with animals is their weight – fewer drops on smaller animals.
Here’s a current list of Young Living’s pet care products containing essential oils. And of course, they contain more than just essential oils. A lot of people are using the Animal Scents Ointment for themselves. Why? It’s pretty much the same formula as the Rose Ointment, with without the rose essential oil, so it’s much more reasonably priced.
